Made of sturdy and durable plastic, The Healthy Care Booster Seat is built to last. It also features three height adjustments that allow for a custom fit to any table, so you can easily move from feeding baby in the kitchen to having him join the family at the dining room table for mealtime. In addition, front and rear seat straps adjust to fit virtually any chair–a real plus when you’re eating out–and the three-point harness keeps your child securely seated. You can even remove the back and tray for older children. Finally, adjustable shoulder straps let you carry the seat from room to room, and the tray snaps off for traveling ease.

Quick and Easy Clean-Up
Feedings can be messy, and busy parents have little time to spare for clean-up. That’s why the Healthy Care Booster Seat has an easy-care design. First, with the plastic, snap-on lid in place, the tray will stay fresh and germ-free until you’re ready to use it. And unlike traditional seats, this one-piece seat is entirely seam and crevice free, meaning there’s no place for crumbs to hide. Simply wipe the tray and seat clean, or put the tray in the dishwasher, and you’re done!

By Yenie Swandari

Toilet training is one of the hard tasks for most of parents. It’s not easy to make your children

Fisher-Price precious Planet Froggy Friend Potty

do it without pressure and tension in this toilet training process. Unlike sleeping, eating or playing, Toilet training need your effort to make your children comfortable to do this. They may not always cooperate with you during toilet training. Just relax. Be patient and calm, and allow your child some time to get the idea.

Most children are toilet trained when they are 2, 3, or 4 years old. A few children are ready earlier, but better wait until your child is at least 2 years old.

Make sure your child is ready: Don’t push him/her to start toilet training. Let your children watch you when you go to the bathroom. They will learn a lot about how to use the toilet correctly by watching a parent.

A few weeks before start toilet training, set out the potty chair or a cute potty training in the bathroom or their bedroom. So your child has a possibility to investigate it. Let your child get used to sitting on it, with clothes on. You also can buy a cute potty like Fisher-Price Precious Planet Froggy Friend Potty that will help build potty confidence and reduces fear. Seeing a smiling frog face can help your little one enjoy sitting on his potty without fear. The comfortable, stable seat is perfect for long-term sitting, whether your child wants to just look at books and play, or whether he’s ready to take the next step.

Every time your child like your instruction, give your child a hug, a smile or a kiss. Or Praise your child with words, such as “Excellent Josh, You did a good job sitting on your potty.”

Do you remember the article that I posted “The Taga” ? Here the new design from Dutch which get from Bicycle Mechanic. Or you can go to Taga.

The New Taga

Is it a bicycle? Or is it a baby stroller? Or is it an expensive death trap for your toddler?

The Dutch sure do love their bicycles, so its really not surprising a designer from the Netherlands has come up with hybrid bicycle-baby-stroller. Its not the first of its kind… but its one of the more stylish. (Technically its a tricycle-baby-stroller, but whatever.)

“If you come to a situation where you don’t want to cycle or you’re not allowed to cycle, at the subway or in a supermarket, in less than 20 seconds you can convert it into a stroller,” says Jeroen de Schaaf, Taga’s European manager. The company is hoping to launch the Taga in North America this summer.

Bicycle - Baby Stroller

So far the Dutch manufacturer has won three European design awards for its coveted bicycle-buggy concoction and is being wildly endorsed by parenting blogs online (freaking yuppies jumping on the latest bandwagon). It sells in Britain for £1,695 (over $3000 CDN).

Its not lightweight however, clocking in at 64 pounds despite Taga’s aluminium alloy-frame Taga. That is roughly three times heavier than an average bicycle, so I guess the yuppies will be getting a workout pushing this thing everywhere.

A Guide to Baby Car Safety

By Yenie Swandari

There is a correct way in which to secure your child in his car seat. Here are guide for the parents to keep your baby safe while in the car:

When you finding the best car seat, try to check is that matches to your baby’s size and weight. The car seat also fits properly in your car and is easily installed.

There are some types of baby car seats such as infant seats, front facing car seats, and convertible seats. And each type of car seat has a lot of variations. Infants or children under a year of age should be placed in rear-facing seats in the center of the rear seat. And the older children can sit facing front and their seat are usually placed behind the driver or passenger. Discuss your options with your pediatrician, if you have children with special needs that may require different restraint systems.

Your child will be ready for using the baby car safety restraint system without a booster seat when they can sit comfortable in the seat the whole trip and the knees can bend at ease over the edge of the seat. Also consider that the belt crosses the shoulder between the neck and the arm. The lap belt is must be low and touches the thighs.

For the baby car safety, read the print manufacture instruction seriously, about how to using car seat and how to properly install it. Call or email the manufacturer if you not sure about the installation.

The great protection that can hold your baby tighter in the seat in the event of a crash is a five-point or six-point harness. The five-point harness has two straps at the shoulders, two straps at the hips and one at the crotch. The T-shield is a padded triangle that latches at the crotch while the overhead shield comes down from over the head and latches at the crotch. Avoid a T-Shield, because it allows too much room or can get in the way of chubby tummies and legs. The stalk of the T-Shield can also cause serious injury to your baby.

It is safe to use second-hand baby car seats provided you do a safety check which belts and harnesses should not be frayed or cracked. Don’t forget to look into the history of the car seat, if it has been in a car crash or if the seat is more than 5 years old do not buy it.

you and the baby comfortable and make your task easier to caring for the new bundle of joy.

Baby stores are full of “goods” all adorable, cute and charming as can be, like Modern baby furniture, The Transformer bedding, baby jumper, Disney character high chair, toys, and accessories, all of these items are tempting but it is easy to forget what is really required. Here are some furniture that really necessary to buy;

For sleeping. There are several options to choose baby bed such as a cradle, a bassinet, a crib, or a convertible crib. The best solution is a convertible crib although it’s a little more expensive to start with. And if your baby gets older it takes only some additional tools to convert the crib to a toddler bed.

You will need some fitted sheets to cover the mattress and some baby blankets. You have to keep the baby’s bedding clean and make baby comfortable.

A changing table use to put everything you need for changing or cleaning baby right at hand, convenient and will help spare your back. Some changing table even has a little integrated bathtub, which can be tucked away when not needed or be changed into a toy shelf. But if you don’t have space to place a changing table in the baby’s room, you can change the babies on the bed.

A dresser is useful for put away all of baby’s clothes. The dressers are available in all style and price. But you could repaint the old dresser.

A toy chest. In choosing a toy chest the only concern is to ensure that it is fitted with a closing system that is safe for little fingers.

Review:

By Kay: Excellent little monitors. I’ve had no problem with static despite the number of electrical appliances running in and around my house. The sound is very clear and I rarely have to turn the volume up higher than the minimum. The light meter is very accurate and defines between baby noise and other noise (radio, fan etc.) well. I’ve read complaints about this model that you can’t mute the sound completely which is true, but I don’t know why you’d want to do that anyway, you might as well not bother having a monitor if you’re not going to listen to it. Amazingly for such quality it’s one of the lowest priced monitor sets on the market even at full price, and can often be found on sale so you really can’t beat it.
